Hi, I'm Matt. I lead a team of Nashville based filmmakers who specialize in weddings. I've spent half my life documenting weddings and it has been an amazing source of purpose and friendship. I have an enthusiasm that I've been told is contagious. I'll capture the fun and I know we'll have fun together!
What sets us apart is that we do this work for all the right reasons. We love not only the process of filmmaking but getting to know our clients and their families and friends. Our films are personal and have the power to take our clients on an emotional ride. There is so much beauty that still photography misses and our goal is to capture the motion and emotion. We want you to hear your loved ones voices shake during the toasts as they try to hold it together. We want you to hear the laughter, to see those flower petals falling, the dresses swishing, the veil in the wind and all of those dance moves hugs and wiping away of tears. It is going to be an action packed day! Let us capture it for you.

To be affected is to be made to feel emotion. Films have a special ability to capture affection through voices, embraces, feelings and movement. We called our company "Special AFFECT" spelled with the "A" to emphasize our goal of capturing love and affection and to make our viewers feel some of that emotion.
I'm proud of the personal films I'm making. Our films won't ever be viewed by millions of people on big screens but they are important to our clients and may even be enjoyed by future generations. I wish I could watch films like these from my great grandparents weddings. We live in an amazing time when an ordinary creative like myself has tools that are superior to what was available to the famous directors of the 20th century. My style is to avoid gimmicks and to present straight forward films that capture joy, beauty and all that makes your day unique.
